Listen to the full sermon.
Let us go back to a time when there was great persecution of the church and the most cruel and evil empire of humanity was in power. There was a man in exile on an island for his testimony of Jesus. He was given a vision from the Lord God Almighty.
A vision that was above time. It was an eternal vision from the Eternal One. It revealed what had already taken place, what is happening and what will happen in the fulfilment of God’s purpose and plan since the beginning of time.
The vision reveals the awe and wonder of the Lord God Almighty. His hope and healing, salvation and judgement. Where evil is eliminated and the fusion of heaven and earth as
the fulfilment of God’s kingdom is realised.
As for the man who received this vision, his name was John. So let us look through the eyes of John as he describes what he sees.
the woman
In the vision John declared, I can see a woman. She is clothed with the sun. A light so bright representing the beauty and goodness of the Lord God Almighty. She is clothed in His justice and rightness of the only one who is good. The Lord God Almighty who created heaven and earth and all things good.
The moon was under her feet. The false pride and rebellion of her nation is surrendered to the power and authority of the Lord God Almighty. She was given His victory over her pride by the Lord God Almighty.
On her head was a garland of 12 stars. A crown of victory. A light and true witness to the world of the Lord God Almighty. The woman knew her beauty and goodness was from Him.
For she intimately knew Him and was in surrender to Him. Knowing that she was the most loved by the Lord God Almighty not because of anything she had done, but because of what He had done for her. He gave her all of Himself. His love, His joy, His peace, His patience, His goodness, His kindness, His His gentleness, His self control, His faithfulness. He adorned her with jewels. In fact she is His Jewel. He clothed her with His beauty and filled her with His faith. He did all this in exchange for her filthy rags of pride, hopelessness and unbelief.
The woman represents a tribe of people, who chose to receive God’s gift of Himself. Those from her nation who received the Lord God Almighty victory and chose to worship only Him. Her nation is referred to as the 12 tribes.
overcomers on earth
From this tribe, the smallest of tribes, through many, many generations in time past, God gave a promise and said to a man, ‘Through your children, I will rescue many people.’ This man’s name was Abraham. God shared with Abraham the secrets of His heart, as He called Abraham His friend.
From this same tribe, after generation and generation, came a shepherd boy. The shepherd boy is from the tribe of Abraham, from the tribe of Israel. This shepherd boy knew the Lord God Almighty’s love for him. God shared with him the secrets of His heart and said he was a man after his own heart.
The shepherd boy became king. King of the nation Israel.
The Lord God Almighty says to the shepherd boy who became king, ‘Through your children, I will rescue many people.’ This shepherd boy who became king, His name was David.
Many many generations passed.
John saw in the vision of a time past, ‘The woman cries out in pain once more, as she is about to give birth to the child!’
But wait… There is a fiery red dragon. The evil one who is full of pride is ready to devour the child that is soon to be born.
The woman cries out in pain once more. She now gives birth to the child. He will rule all the nations.
overcomers in heaven
The fiery dragon, full of pride and evil, makes war against God. The good spirits, the angels
in heaven, fight the fiery dragon and the evil spirits who chose to follow the fiery dragon. There is war in heaven and the good spirits win!
All the evil spirits who identify with the fiery dragon and the fiery dragon have been defeated. They have been cast out of heaven.
John testifies, the male child is God who became flesh and blood. He is born of the Spirit of God, from the tribe of Abraham, from the tribe of David. He grew to be a man. His name is Jesus. Jesus walked the earth, bringing heaven on earth. Declaring the Kingdom of Heaven has come on earth. Healing the broken hearted, bringing deliverance and freedom to the captives, opening our eyes to the unseen. In truth, love and power He demonstrated God’s kingdom.
Then the hour had come. Jesus declared, ‘It is time for me to give my life as a blood sacrifice for you. I will push back the darkness and rescue you forever and ever and ever.’
It is dark, very, very dark. Yet John testifies. ‘I can see the love in Jesus’ eyes as He gives up His life. The blood falling, falling, falling…down into the dirt and dust of humanity.
I can see the love in His eyes as He gives His life for me. He looked at me as He hang there on the cross waiting for it to be done. Jesus, God who became human, as flesh and blood sacrifice for all humanity gave His last breath and said, it is finished.
Time passes.
overcomers over death
John can see the empty tomb. Jesus is alive! John testifies, It is true for I can see the love in His eyes and His nail pierce hands. As He stand before me, He says, it is now time for me to back to our Father. I watch as He is caught up to heaven, back from where He had come. With the Lord God Almighty, seated on His throne.
I can see the fiery dragon, full of pride and evil, is defeated, along with death and the selfish desires of humanity. Satan fell like lightning from the sky, down to earth, to pursue the woman and her offspring.
The woman’s offspring represents all those who believe and receive God’s eternal sacrifice
of Himself in Jesus. The church is her name. The believers from the tribe of Abraham and believers from all tribes become one in Christ Jesus. The woman and her offspring are now
one in Christ Jesus.
The fiery dragon, the accuser of the brethren, the serpent of old, Satan is his name, pursues the woman and her offspring, the church.
Then John says in Revelation 12:10-11 ‘Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.’
overcomers over evil
Hallelujah! The ultimate defeat of satan happened in time past, through the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.
Jesus’ victory is not bound or trapped in a moment of time, it was for time past, it is for time now and for time future. His victory is eternal. As He is the Eternal One. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Salvation has already come and the saints (all those who have received Jesus) are already triumphant over satan, because of the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony. Out testimony is true as it is a witness of who he is, what He has done and will do. Our testimony is His story in us.
the evil one defeated
Satan pursue’s the Church that is of every tribe and nation. Yet satan is in continually torment because by our very existence, we constantly remind his of his ultimate defeat. We testify that through the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, the Saviour of the world, satan, death and evil is defeated.
Satan is blinded by his own pride. Continues to persecute the church, even knowing he is defeated. Satan knows we will never worship him, nor the beast, nor the antichrist, nor join in the injustices of man’s empire without God, nor listen to the voice of the false prophet, yet satan continues to persecute.
None of those things that oppose God and His Kingdom have any power over us. God is an unstoppable force. For it is the Lord God Almighty’s kingdom, wisdom, power, might, glory and honour, forever and ever. Amen.
Satan is forever frustrated and defeated, all because of Jesus.
Even tho some of the church has been martyred or persecuted unto death, they are overcomers. By the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. They indeed did not love their lives unto death!
overcomers for eternity
Not all who give their allegiance to God are martyred that is killed for their belief. Yet all in Christ Jesus are overcomers.
His victory is our victory because we overcame satan (time past) by the blood of the Lamb
and the word of our testimony which is His testimony. The church and every individual are a testimony to the defeat of satan and the victory of Jesus. Every individual who receives Jesus and His right to rule and reign is an overcomer.
Jesus, the resurrected Christ, gives several promises to all who have received Him. He shares everything with us. God call us His friends and reveals the secrets of His heart to us.
We are overcomers because Jesus the eternal one who became human, overcame the world. His victory is our victory. This is our future inheritance which Jesus gives to all who receive Him and give total allegiance to Him.
the overcomers seven promises
1: I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.
2: I have saved you and you are not be hurt by the second death.

4: I will give power over the nations—Just as I shall rule them with a rod of iron so shall you with me. Know that the nations who rejected me, rejected God shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels. Everything that I have received from My Father; I will give to you the morning star.
5: I give you my robe of rightness and innocence. You shall be clothed in white garments,
and I will not blot out your name from the Book of Life. ForI will confess your name before
My Father and before His angels.
6: I will make you a pillar in the temple of My God, and you shall go out no more. I will write on you the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on you My new name.
7: I will grant to you to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with
My Father on His throne.
