he gave his life

God the Father’s desire is that no one should perish. So Jesus came from the Father’s heart to us. To open the way for eternal salvation and healing – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The destructive powers that death, evil and selfish desires had over humanity, needed to be broken so Jesus gave His life.

dialogue with job

At the time of writing and throughout the ages, much has been thought and said about Job. His name means hated or persecuted. His story reveals a lot about humanity, the evil one and ultimately the heart of God. So let us listen to a summary of God’s dialogue with Job and receive a greater revelation of Him.

armour of the mighty warrior

In this world of inequality and injustice, chaos and confusion, thoughts and fears, isolation and loneliness, there is a battle taking place. It is a battle that has already been won. A victory that is to be possessed and appropriated.

at your word

Before time was measured, You were there. Out of nothing, God You created. At Your Word the universe came into existence. You spoke and it was so. At Your word comes revelation and salvation, wisdom and understanding, reconciliation and protection. It’s life giving and life transforming.

place of peace

Everyone desires peace. Peace in the mind, body, spirit, emotions, relationships, environment and circumstances. A dwelling place of refuge and rest, to live in and from. Before Jesus went to the cross He promised to His disciples at the time and for all eternity that in Him there is such a place.

God the divine light is fighting for us

We live in a world damaged by evil. Darkness is all around. Yet the darker the darkness the brighter the light shines. Light pushes back the darkness, illuminates and reveals itself.

in the name of jesus

The players in this high drama are the disciples of Jesus (who are filled with Jesus’ presence, word and power), a lame man, the people in the temple, the priests, the religious leaders and of course God. In the name is all encompassing. So in the name of Jesus, ‘rise up and walk.’

eyes to see the unseen

Let us go back in time when great armies fought, kings ruled, and fear controlled. Yet God was still working, ever present, fighting for the one. Elisha lived with a heavenly vision and prayed for his servant to see the unseen.

on the road to emmaus

As we journey through this life, many things happen. If certain events or a person does not live up to our expectations, we can loose perspective and become unsettled. Yet God is there with us and draws us ever so close.

at the empty tomb

At the empty tomb opposites collide. Earth and heaven, darkness and light, mourning and gladness, hate and love, temporary and eternal. Let us go back in time, to that moment at the empty tomb. Just two days ago they had crucified our Lord.

at the cross

At the cross opposites collide. Earth and heaven, death and life, humanity and God, shame and honour, bondage and freedom, suffering and salvation. Let us go back in time, to that moment at the cross. It is Friday. Today is preparation day, the day before Passover.

the garden of victory

In the garden opposites collide. Earth and heaven, evil and good, humanity and God, self will and God’s will, bondage and freedom, surrender and victory. Let us go back in time to that moment in the garden at the foot of the mountain.
